Film Review/ Musing: The Hangover Part III

The Hangover Part III

Hey Peeps, I decided I wanted to try my hand at writing a film review and what better film to start with than The Hangover Part III; that was at least until I realised how much detail goes into film reviews. Personally I don’t think half the details in film reviews are needed in order to decide whether a film is good or not so I’m going to write a ‘film review/ musing’ alongside the film trailer.

Obviously the Hangover Part III will appeal to fans of the first two Hangover films, with such high expectations being placed on the third and final film of the franchise after the successes of it’s predecessors I’d have to say I was a little disappointed. Phil, Stu, Alan, Doug and Chow return for even more mischief, mishaps and madness though I couldn’t help but feel that the film had more of a serious undertone than the first two Hangover films. Where the first two films had situations that you wouldn’t want to be in but had to laugh at as they weren’t too realistic The Hangover Part III’s storyline had more realistic situations causing you to be empathetic towards the characters and therefore making it that little less funny.

In conclusion if you’re a fan of the previous films then the Hangover Part III is worth seeing but please be aware that the third film is in my opinion probably the worst of the triology and giving it a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.

PS Just a heads up don’t leave your seat when the end credits begin as they’ve added a short clip which in my opinion was one of the best bits of the film.

    • Hey Nik Ki 🙂 ah but you may like it as it was different from the first to, still a bit of the silly humour though so it depends on if that’s your reason for not liking it.
PS glad I can follow your blogs still 🙂
